Sleaford Stitchery creates thoughtful alterations and redesigns for pieces that deserve a new chapter. Every project begins with a careful look at the garment, its fabric, and what can realistically be achieved.

We work on clothing that needs a better fit, a fresh shape, or a complete rethink. From vintage pieces to sentimental favourites, each item is assessed before any design is agreed, so the work stays practical and clear from the start.

Our approach is appointment-led and design-led, with written scope, concept approval, and a finish review before collection. That helps keep expectations clear while giving each garment the attention it needs.

Our story

Built around careful redesign

Founded by Harriet Palmer, the studio was built around careful garment work and a respect for materials already in circulation. The focus is on making clothing more wearable, more personal, and more useful for longer.

The work here is shaped by the garment itself. Construction, seam allowances, fabric condition, and available materials all guide the final result, especially when a piece is being remodelled or upcycled.

That means every project is handled with realism as well as creativity. We discuss what can be changed, what should stay, and where limitations may affect the design before the work is approved.

Clients come to us for redesign consultations, fit updates, restyling, and fabric-reuse projects that give clothing a new purpose without losing its character.
